WINTER STORM WATCH CONTINUES

The National Weather Service says that that Winter Storm Watch issued for the entire WAKO listening area continues from Wednesday morning through Friday morning. The forecast is now calling for a heavy mix of precipitation starting as rain and changing over to sleet and freezing rain and then eventually to snow. Total snow accumulations are now being forecast from 6 up to 12 inches with the highest totals expected north of Interstate 70, but that could change based on the storm track. Travel is expected to become extremely difficult if not impossible during the storm. Residents should make preparations now and keep tuned to WAKO for the latest weather info.
