FATAL SOUTHWEST INDIANA ACCIDENT

One woman is dead and another man injured after a single vehicle accident Friday afternoon in southwestern Indiana. Reports out of  Daviess County indicate that the mishap occurred around 2:30 p.m. ET on U.S. 50 westbound near the Daviess-Knox County line. Upon arrival, two people were found trapped inside an overturned 2003 Ford Ranger. The driver identified as 57 year old Alexander Scott had to be cut from the wreckage and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and was reported in stable condition. His passenger identified as 45 year old Misty Webber of Knox County was however pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for close to 2 hours to allow for the accident investigation and cleanup of the wreckage. Authorities say that slick snow and icy roads at the time may have contributed to the accident.
