The Lawrence County Board met in regular session Wednesday at the courthouse in Lawrenceville and passed intergovernmental agreements with each county township for tax assessment work in the future and a resolution to divide the county into four assessment quadrants. These moves were made to address inequities regarding completion of the countywide assessment process. The board also approved resolutions for matching federal funding for bridge improvement work over Bugaboo Creek in Petty Township northwest of Sumner and for the salary of county engineer Aaron Mefford. Two appointments were made-Kevin Meek to the Lawrence County Consolidated Drainage District to fill the unexpired term of Matthew Hamilton, who left the district and Zane Parrot to a two year term on the County Board of Review replacing Grant McDonald, who resigned.
