The Vincennes City Council met for the first time in the new year of 2022 Monday night at City Hall. They did hold the annual Reorganization with Tim Salters returning as Council President and Bryan Grove as Vice-President. The council also approved the reappointments of Greg Parsley and Marc McNeese to their positions on the R.D.C. (Rural Development Commission). In other business, the council did approve on 2nd reading the revised city ordinance dealing with golf cart usage in the city. The revised ordinance will now be available for public view at City Hall until it’s final passage expected on Monday January 24th. The council also approved an ordinance rezoning property at 720 1/2 15th Street from R-1 to C-2 to allow for further business development at that location.
