Reports out of southwestern Indiana indicate that federal and state officials are currently investigation an apparent fatal mining accident late last week in Knox County. One person was killed after being crushed by an underground mining machine late Friday at the Sunrise Coal mine. The victim was believed to have been from Oaktown. No other details regarding the incident have been released by the company.
