The Knox County Indiana Commissioners and the County Council have passed a resolution approving the financing of the planned jail expansion. The $32.5 million project will be mostly be paid for through a bond issue, but other funding sources including federal American Rescue Plan monies could be used if necessary. It is anticipated that the project will be bid in February of next year.
