The Illinois Department of Public Health Reported 10,264 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 63 new deaths. There were 24 positive cases in Lawrence County Tuesday according to the Lawrence County Health Department. 132 cases are active with 7 hospitalizations locally. There were 33 new cases reported Tuesday in Knox County Indiana. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,985,779 cases of the disease with 27,291 deaths across Illinois. There have now been over 18.6 million vaccinations administered at sites across the state since the vaccine rollout began and over 2.7 million booster doses have been given. The IDPH reports that 30.20% of the total Lawrence County population is now fully vaccinated with 41% getting at least 1 dose of the vaccine. There have been 1,816 booster doses given in the county.
