Illinois and Indiana State Police have announced that they both have increased their patrols during the holiday season as part of a crackdown on impaired and dangerous driving. Through Saturday January first, troopers in both states will be on high alert for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Law enforcement will also be watching for seat belt violations and other forms of dangerous driving.
