Lawrence County Memorial Hospital is looking to upgrade and grow in the future. Hospital officials appeared on WAKO Radio Thursday morning and announced a major initiative at the 70 year old medical facility in Lawrenceville. Hospital Chief Executive Officer Don Robbins says they are embarking on a Master Facility Plan to modernize and bring much needed improvements to the location at 2200 State Street. The plan is currently being formulated and will address the needs of patients through upgrades in advanced medical care, equipment and technology. The multi-year plan was approved by the Lawrence County Board, who own the hospital building itself Wednesday and will still need state approvals before progressing forward. More information will be shared with the public over the next several months as the plan moves forward.
