Lawrenceville Police chief Jim White has released his departmental activity report for November. The department received 350 requests for an officer during the month. They were involved with 12 drug investigations, 11 assault and battery cases, 5 cases each of burglary, shoplifting and theft, 3 cases of vandalism and 2 incidents of a stolen vehicle. Lawrenceville police made 25 misdemeanor, 15 felony and 1 juvenile arrest during the month along with issuing 5 ordinance violations. The department handled 6 traffic accidents-5 involved property damage and the other involved personal injury. City police did assist the Illinois State Police and Lawrence County Sheriffs Department 5 times and emergency fire and medical personnel 6 times in November.
