The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 8,700 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 14 new deaths. Currently there has been a total of 1,854,186 cases of the disease with 26,620 deaths since the pandemic began. A total of 17,716,018 vaccinations have now been administered at sites across the state and 2,113,398 booster doses have now been given. The IDPH also reports that 36.77% of the total Lawrence County population has now been fully vaccinated. The Lawrence County Health Department continues to offer drive-thru vaccination clinics every Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. They have all the types of vaccines and booster doses available.
