The Illinois Department of Public Health has reported a total of 1,835,076 cases of coronavirus and 26,535 deaths across the state since the pandemic began. The Lawrence County Health Department reports there were 83 positive cases of the disease last week. All the individuals are currently isolating in their places of residence with the exception of 2 people who have been hospitalized. Of Illinois total population, approximately 69% have received at least 1 dose of the vaccine and more than 61% of the total population is now fully vaccinated. About 36% of the Illinois eligible adults have gotten a booster dose. The IDPH reports that 36.70% of Lawrence County residents are fully vaccinated, 40% have had a least one dose of the vaccine and 1,135 booster shots have been administered here in the county.
