The 12th annual Small Business Saturday is this Saturday November 27th. The annual holiday shopping event puts local small businesses in the spotlight and celebrates their contribution to the local economy and job market. This year, both the Lawrence and Knox County Chambers of Commerce are encouraging local and area shoppers to shop small instead of making purchases at big box stores and e-commerce stores. The holiday season is one of the major times of the year for sales at smaller type stores.
