The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees met Tuesday and were informed that planning is still underway for the celebration of the 100th year anniversary of the institution. Head Librarian Diane Brumley says there will be an Open House at the facility located at 814 12th Street in downtown Lawrenceville on Friday December 10th from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. with refreshments. The public is invited to visit and tour the library and see the services it offers. There will be special activities planned to honor the history of the library and those who have worked there including longtime librarian Lois Highsmith. The newly created library logo will also be officially unveiled. Also during the session, the board did formally approve the approximately $321,000 tax levy ordinance for fiscal year 2021-22 after being briefed by library accountant David Weger.
