Stephen Lowell Keneipp, age 68 of Lawrenceville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 1, 1953 in Lawrenceville, IL to James and LaVerda (Fleenor) Keneipp.
Steve grew up in and attended the Christian Church of St. Francisville. He had many interests; including, the Chicago Bears, his cats, fishing and gardening. In general, Steve enjoyed the outdoors. Professionally, Steve worked as a Pipefitter out of the Local 136.
Surviving family includes: two sons- Todd Keneipp of Evansville, IN and Christian Keneipp and his wife Carrie of Edgewood, KY: four grandchildren- Rachael, Megan, Nathan and Chloe Keneipp: and his significant other- Sue Hunt of Lawrenceville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janis Leonard.
Visitation will be held for Stephen Keneipp at Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church of St. Francisville at 2:00 p.m. An additional time of visitation will be available at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery will take place at a later date.
