Thomas J. Rose, age 77, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Friday, November 05, 2021 at Aperion Care in Bridgeport, Illinois. He was born on July 31, 1944 in Hammond, Indiana, the son of Natalie A. and Margaret M. (Kowalewski) Rose. He married Wilma M. Miller on December 14, 2000, and she preceded him in death on April 06, 2013.
Thomas was an Ironworker with Local 395 in Hammond, Indiana. He also worked in the maintenance department for Circle K in Phoenix, Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, and YMCA. He enjoyed building and repairing things, as well as spending time with his faithful companion.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; and one brother, Daniel Patrick Rose.
Survivors include his son, James T. Rose and wife, Paula of Lawrenceville, Illinois and two nephews, Sean Rose and Brent Rose.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on
Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice or the Lawrence County Humane Society.
