James Richard Fox Sr. 91, of Bridgeport went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, October 24, 2021 with his loving family around him.
He was born at home on December 25, 1929 in Bridgeport to Mary (Thompson) and Robert Fox.
Jim married the love of his wife Verlin Virginia (Waggoner) Ash on October 8, 1994 at his home in Lawrenceville and she survives.
He was Vice President of Dumes Inc. in Vincennes, Indiania for many years and went on to own and operate his own scrape yards.
Jim owned several rental properties and enjoyed every aspect of the Rental Business. He was a collector of many things.
He is survived by his loving wife Verlin Virginia (Waggoner) Ash Fox, his loving children James “Dick” Robert Fox Jr. and wife Rhonda of Bridgeport, Mary Fox of Bridgeport, Sheila Blair and husband Roy of Lawrenceville, Robert W. Fox and wife Neva of Vincennes, Indiana, Charles Ash and wife Cathy of Bridgeport , Jenna Hathaway and husband David of Mooresville,IL, Kim Squires and husband Rick of Mooresville,IL, Donnie Ash and wife Teri of Bridgeport, Danny Ash and wife Tina of Bridgeport, 32 Grandchildren, 66 Great-Grandchildren, and several Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents , 2 children John Fox and Vickie Ash, 3 brothers Bob Fox, Jack Fox , Ed Fox and 2 grandchildren Alex Hathaway and Cody Lisby.
The Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at the Fountain Family Worship Center in Bridgeport with Pastor Charlie Ash officiating.
There will be a visitation starting at 11:00 until the time of service. There will be a private Graveside Service in the Bridgeport Township Cemetery.
