The National Weather Service says it is sending investigative teams to look at overnight storm damage across the region including unofficial reports of at least 6 funnel clouds Sunday night. The storm system caused some extensive structural damages to buildings and homes but no fatalities. Ameren Illinois at one time had nearly 10,000 of it’s customers without power but that number has now been cut down as of late Monday morning. Lawrence and surrounding counties were spared some of the most severe weather.
