Ross Mitchell Montgomery, Jr., age 59, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Thursday,
October 21, 2021 at his residence. He was born on November 24, 1961 in Lawrenceville, Illinois
the son of Ross Mitchell Montgomery, Sr. and Anne Louise (Price) Kiser. He married Patricia
Burkhart in March of 1984, and she survives.
Ross was an operating engineer with the Local 841 of Terre Haute, Indiana. He served in the
Illinois National Guard
Preceding him in death was his father; one brother, Michael Montgomery; and one niece,
Shannon Darnell.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; mother and step-father, Anne Kiser and husband, Ken of
Lawrenceville, Illinois; three children, Ross Montgomery, Patrick Montgomery, and Ann Yarber
and husband, Matt all of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one brother, Mark Montgomery of
Lawrenceville, Illinois; one sister, Greta Jean Tracy and husband, Rick of Flat Rock, Illinois; one
step-brother, Chad Kiser and his wife, Lanie of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and one step-sister,
Jacquie Willaby and husband, Bill of Faribault, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM CDT at the
Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on
Monday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the
Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County
Humane Society.
