The Red Hill Unit 10 Board of Education met in regular monthly session Thursday night and were informed that a district school has been chosen for a top educational honor. Superintendent Jakie Walker announced that the publication U.S. News and World Report had chosen Bridgeport Grade School as one of the top 30% of elementary schools across the nation. The selection was made after a review of criteria such as test scores and student body makeup amongst others. Walker credited the recognition to the hard work of the administration, staff and students at the school. Also during the session Walker updated the board on potential delays in the Sumner Attendance Center window replacement project.
