Jeanette Rose Brooks-Barrie-Hayes, age 80, Okeechobee, Florida formerly of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on September 30, 2021. She was born to Lucille and Carter Brooks on November 26, 1940 in Danville, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and sister, Judy Brooks-Shaffer.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley Hayes of Okeechobee, Florida; her children, Jeff Barrie (Mary), Jan Edwards (Ted Carter), and Jill Hamilton (Sam) all of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepchildren, Wes Hayes, III (Sharon) of Oregon, Jason Hayes of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Toni Poole (Chris) of Tallahassee, Florida; brothers, John Brooks (Marilyn) Gilbertsville, Kentucky and Butch Brooks (Joanie) Greeley, Colorado; eight grandsons; and 11 great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Havoline Hall, 715 12th Street in Lawrenceville, Illinois from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM CDT.
