The St Francisville City Council met Wednesday in regular session and were given a presentation from Midwest Meters on implementing a new water meter system in the future. The project could potentially be paid for through COVID-19 relief funds the city will receive. No firm decisions were made and the matter will be taken under advisement and studied by the council. The council were informed that the city has been selected as a free Little Library location site for book dropoffs in Illinois. The official designation is expected in the next 2 to 3 weeks. They were updated on the activities of the Civic Improvement Corporation (CIC) and Mayor Danny Lynn indicated that the city has a problem with aggressive dog behavior and is looking at ways to curtail the problem. Trick or treat hours were also set for Halloween Sunday October 31st from 5 until 8 p.m. for the city.
