The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,833 new cases of coronavirus Wednesday across the state with 31 additional deaths. No update case figures were available from the Lawrence County Health Department. Knox County Indiana reported 106 new cases Wednesday. Overall since the pandemic began in Illinois, there have been 1,643,993 cases of the disease with 25,153 deaths. A total of 14,742,283 vaccinations have been administered in the state since the vaccine rollout began. Over 23,000 people received vaccine shots at sites around the state Tuesday.
