The Illinois Department of Transportation is reporting 2,841 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 30 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reports 8 positive cases Tuesday with 92 active and 2 hospitalizations. Neighboring Richland County added 14 new cases and Knox County Indiana had a large case total of 65 Tuesday. There have been a total of 1,641,061 cases in Illinois with 25,099 deaths since the pandemic began. A total of 14,719,222 vaccinations have now been administered in Illinois since the vaccine rollout began with over 29,800 people receiving shots Monday. The LCHD offices are closed on Wednesday October 6th and the drive-thru Flu Clinic scheduled for Thursday October 7th at the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville has now been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday October 21st.
