Paul Joseph Tamas

Paul Joseph Tamas, age 31 of Houston, TX and formerly of Robinson, passed away at the Houston Methodist Medical Center, Monday, March 23, 2020 due to heart failure attributed to Crohn’s Disease and cancer. He was born in Zweibruecken, Germany on October 7, 1988 to Paul Denes Tamas and Janet (Casper) Tamas.

Paul graduated from Robinson High School. He then attended and graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for Foster Wheeler in Houston, TX as a Chemical Engineer, and had recently attained a Professional Engineer License which he was very proud to receive. Paul was a video gamer in his spare time. He thoroughly enjoyed the competition and comradery within the gaming community. Paul was also a lifetime member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bridgeport, Illinois, and he loved his church family.

Surviving relatives include: his father- Paul Tamas of Robinson: his mother- Janet Tamas of Robinson: one sister- Alexay Tamas of Salem, OR: his fiancé- Lisa Brandt of Houston, TX: paternal grandmother- Susanna Tamas of Robinson: maternal grandfather- Glendon Casper of rural Lawrenceville: and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rev. Denes Tamas; and maternal grandmother Helen Joan Casper.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Paul, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Presbyterian Church of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Illinois.
