Nine local teachers including 1 from Lawrence County and 2 from Knox County Indiana have been named as 2nd annual “2021 MacDonalds Outstanding Educators.” Katelyn Lasswell from Red Hill High School in Bridgeport and Steve Toy from Vincennes Lincoln High School and Tonya Dunn from Flaget Elementary School in Vincennes were picked from among over 720 nominations. The award honors teachers who exhibit the ultimate dedication to their students and contribute to the improvement of education. The winners will each receive $100 for use toward their classroom, a “Best Teacher Ever” coffee mug, an Outstanding Educator certificate and McDonalds coupons.
