Law enforcement authorities were called in for an arrest after an alledged illegal burn incident in Oakland City Indiana Thursday evening. Indiana State Police report that the Oakland City Fire Department responded around 7:45 p.m. to burning on property at 123 South Jackson Street. They were in the midst of a discussion about the city burn ordinance with the property owner, 37 year old Anthony Maltimore when his neighbor 59 Timothy Lance arrived and began to argue with Maltimore over the incident. Firefighters had to seperate the two men and when they did, Lance produced a handgun and alledgely pointed it at Maltimore and several firemen. That is when the Oakland City Police and the ISP were summoned to the scene. After investigation, the ISP took Lance into custody for Intimidation and Pointing a Firearm. He was taken to the Gibson County Jail where he was later released after posting bond. No one was injured in the dispute.
