HIT AND RUN SUSPECT ARRESTED

Vincennes Police say the suspect in a Sunday hit and run incident in which a female bicyclist was severely injured has been arrested. Authorities report that 32 year old Rebecca Workman of Vincennes was alledgely driving under the influence of narcotics when her vehicle veered off the road and struck the cyclist. She then left the accident scene. The cyclist had to be lifeflighted to an Evansville hospital with severe head, leg, pelvic and rib injuries. Workman has been preliminarily charged with Operating While Intoxicated Causing Catastrophic Injury and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Both are Class 4 Indiana felonies.
