The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 1,590, 342 cases of coronavirus across the state with 24,546 deaths since the pandemic began. According to the most recent Lawrence County Health Department figures, there are 148 active cases with 2 hospitaliztions. There were 23 new cases reported Sunday in Knox County Indiana. The latest Center for Disease Control numbers show that more than 80% of Illinois adults have received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine and almost 63% are fully vaccinated. Of the total state population, more than 67% have received at least 1 vaccine dose and more than 52% are fully vaccinated. A total of 14,284,288 vaccinations have been administered across Illinois since the rollout began. Over 34% of the total Lawrence County population has now been fully vaccinated.
