Barbara Jo Hensley, age 52 of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was born April 21, 1969 in Tucson, AZ to Joseph M. Hensley and his wife Barbara P. (Ash) Hensley.
Bobbi’s daughter Alexa was the light of her life and was a loving and devoted mother. Her family meant the world to her. Anyone who knew Bobbi knew she was always a friend to everyone she met. She also loved her animals and took great joy in them.
After graduating high school at John I Leonard in West Palm Beach FL, she went on to obtain her cosmetology license, as well as licenses for dog grooming and veterinarian assistant.
Surviving family includes: her daughter- Alexa Jolie Hensley of Bridgeport: two sisters- Mia Phillips and husband Todd of Coatesville, IN and Cathy Brown and husband John of McKinney, TX: eight nieces and nephews: and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow with private burial at a later date.
