The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 3,919 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 26 additional deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department says there were 45 positive cases here between Saturday September 4th and Tuesday September 7th. There are now 134 active cases with 4 hospitalizations. There were 58 positive cases reported this past weekend in neighboring Crawford County and 29 new cases Tuesday in Knox County Indiana. There were over 80,800 vaccines administered at sites across Illinois over the Labor Day weekend. The latest IDPH/CDC information shows that just slightly over 1/3 (33.39%) of the Lawrence County populations has now been fully vaccinated.
