Gerry Ann Phillips, age 81 of Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Olney at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. She was born September 30, 1939 in Bridgeport to Charles Franklin Rousey and Eunice Geraldine (Croslow) Rousey Wells.
Gerry Ann married Ralph Phillips on September 29, 1958. They were fortunate to have had each other for over 62 years.
She was a homemaker, a cook at Pizza Hut for quite a while, and worked at Wal-Mart for many years as well. Gerry loved her family as well as her dogs.
Surviving family includes: her husband- Ralph Phillips of Bridgeport: two sons- Mark Phillips of Sumner and Matthew Phillips and his wife Michelle of Lawrenceville: one sister- Betty Stanley and husband Ed of Bridgeport: two half-sisters- Patty and Susie: three grandsons- Mason Phillips, Alan Webster and wife Devan, and Alex York and wife Bethany: two granddaughters- Heather Christie and husband Jordan and Amy Stoelting and husband Aaron: and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law (Teresa Phillips), and several siblings.
A graveside service for Gerry Ann Phillips will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Bridgeport City Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home is assisting the family through their time of loss.
