lawrenceville-city-seal-5

The City of Lawrenceville will be sending warning letters to citizens who are in violation of the ordinance pertaining to trash recepticles that remain publicly visible for more than 24 hours. Mayor David Courtney says the letters are a warning to residents who have already been found to be in violation. The ordinance stipulates that trash recepticles can be out in public view for only 24 hours before collection and only 24 hours after collection. The mayor did stress that the initial letters are only to serve as notices, but continued violation of the ordinance will lead to citations and fines. The letters are to be mailed out this week-the week of August 30th. Those who have questions can contact City Hall at (618) 943-2116 during regular business hours.
