Jeffrey Scott Lane, 70, of Saint Francisville, IL passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021, at his residence.

He was born October 7, 1950, in Princeton, IN, the son of Carl Melbourne and Amanza Marie (Newkirk) Lane. On June 28, 1990 he married Marie Street, and she survives.

Jeff attended high school in Saint Francisville where he was a member of the Saints.  From there he joined the US Army during the Vietnam conflict. Upon returning to the United States, he worked in the oil fields as a driller.

In 1984 Jeff decided to make his way to Florida where he met the love of his life, Marie Street. It was always a joke within the family that Jeff went all the way to Florida to meet a girl from Vincennes.  During Jeff and Marie‘s 30 years plus in Florida, he worked as a professional cement truck driver and maintenance supervisor in the Palm Bay, Florida area.  Jeff’s main passion was riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.  During the course of his life, he owned multiple bikes and loved to ride.  Jeff had a unique ability to make people laugh with his humor and also to say what everybody else was thinking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter: Jamie Sue Leighty, and a sister: Carla Marie Lane.

Along with his wife, Marie, he is survived by four children: Patricia Cardona and her husband Rodrigo of Bakersfield, CA, Patrick Scott Lane of Palm Bay, Florida, Jesse Kasinger of Mount Carmel, IL, Danyell Christine Lucio and her husband Danny of Palm Bay FL, two brothers; David Joseph Lane and his fiancé, Lorie Cunningham, of Lawrenceville, IL, Bruce Wayne Lane of Mount Carmel, IL, a sister: Diane Michelle Cummins of Lawrenceville, IL, thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
