It is opening night Friday for Illinois high school fall football and both the Lawrenceville Indians and Red Hill Salukis see action. The Tribe will head north to Bush Field in Marshall to face the Lions. The Salukis will open the season at home in Bridgeport hosting the newest member of the Little Illini Conference-the Mt Carmel Golden Aces. The game can be heard on The Legend 99.3 FM and AM 910 WAKO with Stewart Brooking and Ryan Shick on the call with pregame at 6:45 p.m. CDT and kickoff at 7. Meanwhile it is week 2 of Indiana high school football Friday. 0-1 Vincennes Lincoln travels to Evansville Reitz and 0-1 North Knox is also on the road at Eastern Greene.
