Reports out of neighboring Crawford County indicate that a Lawrence County man has been arrested and implicated in the disappearance of his brother there. Robert Clay of Bridgeport was taken into custody after a traffic stop and charged with Aiding a Fugitive and Obstructing a Peace Officer. He is the brother of Dean Clay who is wanted after failing to report to the Illinois Department of Corrections. Robert Clay is believed to have help him elude police and escape the area. The search is continuing. Anyone with information in the case should contact their nearest law enforcement agency or the Crawford County Sheriffs Department.
