A Jasper County man was killed in a single vehicle accident Wednesday morning up in Cumberland County. Illinois State Police report that around 6:10 a.m. a 2006 Ford Expedition being driven by 33 year old Timothy Allison of West Liberty was headed north on Illinois Route 121 when he ran off the right side of the road. Allison then overcorrected and crossed both lanes of traffic and ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle then struck a tree and a parked residential vehicle before coming to rest. Allison was pronounced dead at the scene of injuries suffered in the mishap.
