The National Weather Service is continuing the Heat Advisory for the entire WAKO listening area Thursday afternoon and evening. Hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to cause the peak heat index to rise to between 105 to 110 degrees. These types of temperatures will create a situation in which heat illness is possible through prolonged exposure to the sun when outdoors. Take extra precautions if outdoors and drink plenty of fluids especially water.
