The Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville continues until Friday. The National Weather Service reports the river Thursday at 31.9 feet-less than 2 feet above flood stage. It is now expected to crest at 32 feet just after midnight Thursday and fall below flood Friday afternoon. The river has been high this week due to excessive rain in the upper Embarras River basin flowing downstream. Some minor flooding is occuring in the Lawrenceville area.
