Reports out of Clay County Illinois indicate some good economic news for the area. North American Lighting has announced it will open a new production facility in Mattoon in the fall of 2021. The move will allow the company to move their production lines from Flora, Salem and Paris to a new centralized location on the north side of Mattoon. With the creation of the new location, NAL also announced that it will begin accepting applications for various positions at Mattoon in August with eventual hiring in September. Online applications can be made at the company website-www.nal.com. NAL produces automotive headlights and taillights and does business world and nationwide. The company is a tenant of the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) at the Mid-American Air Center located northeast of Lawrenceville.
