Monday August 2nd is the first official day for practice for fall high school sports teams in Indiana. Girls golf did get their practices underway last week. Indiana football teams begin non-contact work on that day for three days before full contact is allowed on Thursday August 5th. Scrimmages can take place on Friday August 13th and the 2021 IHSAA football season is scheduled to begin Friday August 20th. Meanwhile, the first official day of practice for Illinois high school fall sports is next Monday August 9th with the first golf games allowed on Thursday August 12th. The IHSA football season begins on Friday August 27th.
