A Crawford County Illinois woman has been charged in Sullivan County Indiana after she alledgedly misappropriated money meant for the child of a fallen Indiana police officer. 31 year old Josie Huff of Robinson was arrested by Robinson Police late last week. Indiana State Police report that she is the guardian of an estate trust for her son, whose father was Terre Haute police officer Rob Pitts who died in the line of duty back in 2018. They say a tip led to an investigation into the misuse by Huff of close to $248,000 of the estate and the eventual charges. She was taken initially to the Crawford County Jail in Robinson and was later transferred to the Sullivan County Jail and was being held on a $15,000 bond.
