VINCENNES BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY

The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety met in regular monthly session Monday at City Hall and did accept the low bid of Wolfe Construction of Vincennes of around $800,000 for the Pantheon construction project. Work is expected to begin in August and be completed by February of 2022. The Board also approved the acceptance of the Thompson/Carloma Drive area into the city which will help in applying for state funding for paving that area. Mayor Joe Yochum did swear in 4 Vincennes Police reserve officers and Vincennes Community School Corporation Resource Officers during the meeting. In a related note, the Board renewed a memorandum of understanding between the City and the VCSC for payment of a School Resource Officer.
