The National Weather Service has continued the Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville until Wednesday. The river Tuesday was at 31.5 feet and falling. The river had been high due to extensive rainfall in the upper Embarras River Basin flowing downstream. Some minor flooding is occurring around the Lawrenceville area. The river is now expected to fall below it’s 30 foot flood stage sometime Wednesday evening.
