Outfielder Dylan Carlson homered and had 4 RBI and Paul Goldschmidt also homered to lead the St Louis Cardinals to an 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs Monday night at Busch Stadium in the first of their four game series. Jake Woodford started for the Redbirds and allowed 1 run over 5 1/3 innings to pick up the win while Alec Mills took the loss for the Cubs after allowing 5 runs over 4 innings.
