CARDS DOWN CUBS IN SERIES OPENER

Outfielder Dylan Carlson homered and had 4 RBI and Paul Goldschmidt also homered to lead the St Louis Cardinals to an 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs Monday night at Busch Stadium in the first of their four game series.  Jake Woodford started for the Redbirds and allowed 1 run over 5 1/3 innings to pick up the win while Alec Mills took the loss for the Cubs after allowing 5 runs over 4 innings. The Cubs also committed 4 errors. Game two of the series is Tuesday night. Catch all the action on Lite 103 WAKO FM beginning with the pregame at 6:40 p.m. CDT and the first pitch at 7:15 p.m.
