The Bridgeport City Council has voted to demolish the bandstand at Lanterman Park. The move was made during it’s session Tuesday night at City Hall. City and park board officials had inspected the location which is in a state of disrepair and deemed it unsafe and to costly to repair in it’s present condition leading to the decision. The council did approve a city employee exit policy which covers the process after an employee has resigned or is terminated. It was announced that the city is currently accepting bids for trash collection.
