The city of Vincennes is looking to get help from it’s residents in regard to areas of town that are problematic and need repair. The City Council Monday heard from President Tim Salters about “Let’s Fix It Vincennes” a program aimed at collecting information from citizens on various locations that need repaired and upgraded via a computer website that would identify and catalog areas in need to the city for action in the future. The idea is still in it’s infancy and will be fine-tuned and discussed with the Mayor before being implemented. It is hoped that the program patterned after the city’s “Pothole Patrol” could be started in perhaps a month or two if all goes well. The council also received for study and review amendments to the Knox County Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Control Ordinance by the Area Plan Commission. No action was taken.
