Sparklight has announced it is investing $10 million to keep southeastern Illinois up to date with internet service upgrades in the future. The company says the move is being made to meet the surge in internet use by customers in the region which includes Lawrence and surrounding counties. Sparklight plans to increase it’s current broadband speeds of up to 1 gigabits to residential customers and up to 5 gigabits for business customers to as fast as 10 gigabits and beyond.
