It is time for post season youth baseball tournaments in the area. The Little League All-Star 12 year old double elimination tournament begins Friday at Robinson with two games. At 6 p.m. Lawrenceville will play Mt Carmel with Olney against host Robinson at 8. Play will continue through the weekend into next week. The Little League 10 year old double elimination tournament gets underway Saturday at Mt Carmel. Lawrenceville will meet host Mt Carmel at 4 p.m. with Olney against Salem at 6. Play will also continue through the weekend into next week. The Lawrence County Cal Ripkin 12 and under team will be one of three teams in the Cal Ripkin three team state tournament in Mattoon this weekend. Friday Lawrence County will meet Sheridan Park at 4 p.m. with the winner meeting Mattoon at 6:15 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
