A southeastern Illinois man wanted for murder is now in custody. Reports indicate that 29 year old Jaquez Gardner of Woodlawn was arrested this week while leaving a hotel in O’Fallon in western Illinois. He was the subject of a Jefferson County warrant for First Degree Murder and Being an Armed Habitual Offender accusing him of shooting and killing a 34 year old man at a Mt Vernon Illinois bar Sunday. Gardner was being held on $3 million bond.
